It’s almost fall! I’m super excited about all the books I’ve been saving all year on my TBR pile to finally read! I’m a huge fall/spooky reading now and I can’t wait to unleash all of it this fall. I plan to read these books during the months of September and October (but might start a little bit in August because I have mad fall vibes fever). What do you plan on reading this fall?
I can’t believe July is already over with. July was a very good reading month for me as I finally came out of my reading slump and finished a few books! Here’s what I read for the month of July.
- Total Books Read: 3
- Currently Reading: 3
- Total Pages Read: 609 pages
- Average Rating: 4.17/5 stars
Hello. Hi. Good day.
It’s been a hot second since I last wrote about the books that I’ve read on this page. But I’m hoping I broke this god awful reading slump I’ve been in for the past 7 months.
2020 was THE reading year for me (among other things). Then the pandemic hit and so did my reading slump. I’ve been consumed at work by taking on more jobs, less motivation in my free time, and a life slump hit all at once. But I’m not going to let that stop me!
Last week the Reading Rush happened and I once again participated. I haven’t really finished a book since April and I managed to finish a book I already started (Seconds by Bryan Lee O’Malley) and started and completed two comic volumes (Blossoms: 666 by Cullen Bunn and Jughead the Hunger VS Vampironica by Frank Tieri). I also started other books that I did not finish (Memories by Lang Leav and The Unleashed by Danielle Vega). This lead to me reading a total of 584 pages and completing 3 books.
My goals for the rest of July (haha let’s see since there are 4 days left) is to complete what I didn’t get to during the Reading Rush. This means I’m going to attempt to read around 10 books within the next four days. Whatever I don’t get accomplished will carry over into August. I feel like I finally have my reading mojo back and I can’t wait to read all the books again!
What are some books that have pulled you out of a reading slump?
Any who, back to reading I go! I have lots to get to before Midnight Sun gets released next week! See you soon for another bookish post!
I’m beyond thrilled that the start of summer is finally here! After being cooped up in the house for the winter season and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, I’m excited to soak up some sun and some awesome books. I’ve compiled a list of books that are being released this summer that I’m stoked for. My video below goes into more detail but a few titles I can mention are The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins and Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer. Did any of my books make it on your list?
Grab your cutest mug, fill it up with your favorite coffee and let’s sit down and read a book!
