Currently Reading/My Review: February 15th, 2013

Today was the day I finally finished John Green’s book, The Fault in Our Stars. I’m normally the girl who doesn’t cry over books, but this one really got me to let out all the tears. The relationship that grows between Hazel and Augustus (Gus) is phenomenal and beautifully written. And it made me think about my own relationship and how I would survive if I was Hazel. This book has also helped me understand a bit more about life in a way.

Some of my favorite quotes in the book were “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars / But in ourselves.” (page 111), “Oh, I wouldn’t mind, Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you.” (page 176), and “Nothing gold can stay.” (page 278).

I rated this book 5/5 stars on I recommend this book to everyone and anyone. It has made the list of the top books I have ever read. I think while reading this you can feel the greatness and power of John Green and his impact on literature and life.

This book has me in awe, and I’m only around the first hundred pages into this book. This book has made me almost tear up already, and I can’t wait to read the rest!
