A spooky TBR for the month of September? SIGN ME UP!
Honestly, over the years I didn’t think my reading tastes would involve me liking “spooky” books. When I was little my cousins came over to babysit and they happened to watch a goosebumps or horror movie that had ventriloquist dolls coming out of the sewers. Ever since then I have been terrified of spooky and horror movies. However, throughout recent years I have come to devour YA horror novels (still can’t watch scary movies or I will have nightmares for a week straight). My first YA horror novel was The Merciless by Danielle Vega. Since reading that book I have the need to read all the YA horror novels.
With the spooky season coming up and me wanting to read more horror and spooky books I decided that “Spooky September” should be my TBR theme for the month. Listed below are the books that I plan to read in September.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin, Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake, Contagion by Erin Bowman, One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus, and The Last Life of Prince Alastor by Alexandra Bracken.
It’s my favorite time of the year again the BookTubeAThon… wait hold the phone. Recently the BookTubeAThon has changed its name since last year to include everybody from all platforms and is now called The Reading Rush! I’ve participated in this readathon ever since it was started so to say I’m excited is a bit of an understatement. The past few years for this readathon I have been moving at this time so not much reading has taken place, but for once I’m not moving and I can’t wait to get home from work every day and read! In the video below is my TBR for The Reading Rush. What books do you plan to read?
Summer weather is finally here and I’m so excited that winter is finally behind us! The other day I started thinking about summer reading challenges and my library’s summer reading challenge. Which lead me to the idea of this video! I plan on getting a lot of summer reading done this year so I made a TBR as well (I’m not the biggest TBR fan but we shall see how this goes). What are some of your summer reading goals or TBR? 🙂
So, it is 2019. A whole new year for reading resolutions and getting all the reading done. This year I plan to read more than I ever have. After having such a good reading year last year, I think I can do it again this year. While thinking about the books I wanted to finally read off my bookshelf I thought about some of the books I’ve had on my shelf the longest. With that being said this idea popped into my head. Since the year 2013, I was going to find a book each year that I haven’t read up until 2017. And I made a video with that list!
